The Mission Viejo Activities Committee invites the community to join us for a special cultural event in celebration of Día de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) at the Potocki Center of the Arts, Oct 23rd, at 3:30 with screening of Pixar’s Coco scheduled at 6:30pm. Patrons should bring a low-back chair or blanket to watch the movie which is sponsored by the MV Diversity + Inclusion Task Force. Tickets will be limited and required for entrance. Festivities will provide the chance to “explore educational and cultural significance of the Day of the Dead traditions”. Enjoy live Mariachi music, Folkloric Dance, sugar skull decorating, face painting, arts and crafts activities. Bring a photo of a loved one or pet that left too soon to add to our special Ofrenda (memorial altar). Food, beverages, wine and beer will be available for purchase cash and credit card accepted. Costumes encouraged. Craft activities designed for children 5 years and older. Tickets are $5.00 per person and waiver required. All activities are included in admission, while supplies last.
